This short story was first published in the UK in 1924 in The Sketch as part of the series The Grey Cells of M. Poirot II. It was filmed for television in 1989 with David Suchet as Poirot.
Published in Poirot's Early Cases and also in Three Blind Mice and Other Stories in the US.
